Principal Classic Fountain Pen
Draw, write and letter with a Leonardt Principal nib fitted to our Classic Fountain Pen. The Principal nib is is a modern version of the famous Principality nib from 100 years ago, which was very popular during the "golden age of fountain pens".
You have a choice of feed flow for this pen - standard flow or full flow. We have been selling the full flow feed for years, and it is still the most popular feed for thicker inks, such as classic India ink and acrylic paints. We recently started offering the option of a standard flow feed that works best with slightly thinner inks, especially dye-based inks used in many fountain pens. These inks are colorful and lightfast, but they are thinner than traditional artistic media so they flow better in fountain pens. We hope to add a third feed in early 2026 designed for thinner inks, like walnut ink, and water color paints.

Most of our orders ship from the NE coast of the US, which puts us a day away from half the population in the US. That location also speeds up shipping to Europe. Orders in Asia are going to take a little more time.
We offer a free 14 day money back return policy on all orders no questions asked. The customer pays the cost for return shipping. You can cancel an order if we haven't yet shipped the order.
