Speedball Nibs
Use these Speedball nibs in our pens to and switch nibs to enjoy the full variety of Speedball nibs.
The brass tab on top of and below the nib are designed to serve as reservoirs that hold ink or paint after you dip the nib into a container. You no longer need these reservoirs now that you can use a fountain pen that feeds ink to the Speedball nib directly.
You could remove the brass tab on top of the nib, but that takes more work. You can also use the topside tab as a reservoir since it doesn't interfere with the feed.
Your Speedball Nib Choices
There are 30 different Speedball nibs divided into six different categories:
- A series for six widths of monolike and Gothic lettering
- B series for eight widths of the 2nd edition of the Speedball Textbook rounded lettering style
- C series right handed for the 4th edition of the Speedball Textbook lettering style using six different tips for right handed writers
- C series left handed for the 4th edition of the Speedball Textbook lettering style using five different tips for left handed writers
We only provide Speedball C nibs, which are designed specifically for drawing. We have removed the lower tab on these nibs.
