Fude nibs are flexible metal nibs with a standard shape and size that have the tip turned up in a 90 degree angle. The word "fude" means brush in Japanese, but these nibs don't simulate a brush. They do provide a wider range of line shapes when you modify the position of the nib in relation to the paper. You can turn the nib in different directions to get different line widths. You can flip the nib and draw with the tip to get a very fine line. There are other subtle things you can do that you'll learn over time and through experimentation. Paul Heaston is a popular sketcher and drawing teacher on social media - YouTube, Instagram and TikTok. Paul enjoys drawing with fude nibs, and he provides lots of examples online.
