Manga G Ink Feeds
Use our Manga G ink feeds to feed ink to specific Manga G nibs in your Classic Pen.
You have two choices of feed for our Manga G pens:
- Standard feed F3 standard flow for fountain pen inks
- Standard feed F4 thick flow for India ink and most paints
Standard feeds are traditional feeds shaped like a rod where the ink channel runs along the top of the feed. You can slip nibs in and out of the pen easily using this feed, but there is a slight chance that ink will leak from the feed because press-fit parts don't always seat properly.
New model feed for Manga G Zebra nibs
We are developing a new feed design called "Squeeze Feed" Pat Pend that grips a dip nib, feeds ink to the nib, and holds the nib securely in our pens. We are releasing them for Zebra Manga G nibs first.
To use these feeds, you insert the nib into a slot in the front of the feed, then press the feed with nib into the front of the pen so that the top and bottom sides of the feed press down to grip the nib. This hold the nib in place while ink is fed through a channel in the center of the feed. See Squeeze Feeds for Manga G nibs for more details.
Free squeeze feeds
For the duration of our summer sale, we will add a new squeeze feed F3 standard flow free of charge to any order containing a Manga G pen so you can test and see if the squeeze feed works better for you than the standard feed.
- Squeeze feed F2 thin flow for thinner inks like walnut ink
- Squeeze feed F3 standard flow for standard fountain pen inks
- Squeeze feed F4 thick flow for India ink and most paints
We think squeeze feeds are better than standard feeds, but we want to find out what you think.
Ink flow is not an exact science
Be aware that ink flow is not an exact science. Feeds control the flow of ink and paint based on the viscosity or thickness of the ink/paint. Other factors contribute to ink flow, including how quickly you draw or write, the absorption of the paper you are drawing or writing on, the warmth of your hand, the ambient air pressure, even the electrostatic charge and potentials on the inside surfaces of the pen, which can vary over time.
